Research Interests

My approach to systematics of nematodes is testing hypotheses of nematode phylogeny and exploring relationships between morphological and molecular evolution, in part through comparative reconstruction and developmental biology of character rich nematode structures. Morphological tools including transmission, scanning, confocal, 4D (cell lineaging) microscopy are used for testing hypotheses of homology. A particular interest is the evolution of parasitism.
